Hooton Village Memorial Hall was established in 1949 as a lasting memorial to those from our community who gave their lives in the Second World War. For over 75 years, we have been the heartbeat of Hooton village.
The hall sits within 4.5 acres of beautiful Wirral woodland, open to the public year-round. We are an independent charity (No. 520064) receiving no local authority funding — we survive entirely through hall hire income and the generosity of our community.
Our hall is managed by a board of dedicated volunteer trustees who give their time freely to ensure HVMH remains a vibrant community asset for generations to come.
Built as a Memorial
Founded in 1949 in honour of Hooton residents who served in World War II. A place of remembrance and community pride.
Independent Charity
Registered charity No. 520064. Run entirely by volunteers with no council funding. Every penny goes back into the hall and woodland.
Open Woodland
4.5 acres of beautiful woodland, freely accessible to the Hooton community year-round. A green lung at the heart of the village.
